Jean Montanet, the winemaker at Domaine La Cadette, is a master at producing high-quality wines at down-to-earth prices. The 2018 L’Ermitage has notes of succulent raspberry, violets, anise, blueberry, cocoa powder, and delicate minerals. Made primarily from Pinot Noir (80%), with 20% of the rare César grape found in the Yonne region. This grape has been grown in this area since Roman times (hence the name). A beautiful, savory Burgundy with a lingering finish and a hint of the exotic from the César grape.
